Acquisitions / New Business Manager

Primary Function The New Business Acquisition Manager is responsible for identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities for the Powertrain Business Unit, in cooperation with business intelligence / market research and product management experts. This strategic role integrates strategic thinking, business acumen and commercial scouting skills to generate new revenue streams and support the long-term growth plan of the PWT Business Unit. The role collaborates key account teams to jointly convert insights into actionable acquisition proposals. Moreover, the New Business Acquisition Manager supports the Head of Marketing & Product Management and the other S&M leaders in tracking all S&M NBA activities and implementing necessary actions to secure yearly targets. Finally, the NBA Manager coordinates, on behalf of the Head of Marketing & Product Management and with the other relevant functions, the preparation / update of the strategic business plan, the periodic commercial committees and other S&M presentations to FPT Senior Leadership, on a per-need basis.
Collect from the relevant colleagues, strategic market intelligence assessments in relation to trends, technologies and competitive movements in the powertrain sector.
Collect from the relevant colleagues, comprehensive market analyses, including segment sizing, customer profiling, and competitor benchmarking.
Develop and periodically update strategic business plan in coordination with other S&M leaders, collecting for example key insights from business intelligence / market research and product management experts.
Support, on a per-need basis, in cooperation with business intelligence / market research and product management experts, the full business acquisition lifecycle, from opportunity scouting to proposal development and customer negotiation.
Support, on a per-need basis, S&M leaders in engaging potential new customers globally and represent the Powertrain BU in commercial scouting missions and events.
Support, on a per-need basis, identification of possible different business models and / or partnerships to further develop FPT business.
Set up structured NBA processes, dashboards, and monitoring tools to support continuous improvement and yearly sales incentives plan.
Establish and periodically update Commercial dashboard to monitor key KPI and report status of Sales to FPT Senior Leadership at the Commercial Committee and other senior leadership venues, as required.
Master’s Degree in Engineering, Economics, Business Administration, or related field; 7–10+ years of experience in business development, strategy / management consulting, commercial intelligence.
~ Experience in international environments, exposure to automotive, capital goods and industrial sectors is a plus. Understanding of industry and competitor assessment, financial modeling, valuation techniques, business acquisition, project management tools.
~ Business acumen, creativity, problem solving, flexibility, analytical mindset, deadline-driven as a way of life. Strong analytical, modelling, and business case development skills.
~ Proficiency in market intelligence tools, CRM systems, and data analytics platforms.
~-Leadership, work-ethics, confidentiality, capable to structure problems and deliver even with a vague brief and limited guidance, ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and to work independently with minimal supervision.

Open to travel internationally up to 50%, depending on business priorities.
