We are looking to recruit a new member of staff in the office in Trieste as:


Accounts Assistant


Duties and Responsabilities:


  • Support the general accounting month-end close process and related tasks, such as balance sheet reconciliations, analytical reviews and journals;
  • Process vendor invoices and payments, including the distribution of supplier invoices for approval;
  • Process sales &marketing invoices against approved purchase orders;
  • Manage fixed asset register, including adherence to company policy, depreciation and disposals;
  • Responsible forbank postings and managing outstanding reconciling items;
  • Collate information and analysis to support the statutory and other non-financial reporting obligations and tax returns;
  • Support the budgeting and forecasting process for general and administrative costs;
  • Build strong, effective relationships with all stakeholders;
  • Perform other job-related functions and special projects, as required.


Experience:


  • Minimum 1 year accounting experience;
  • General accounting, including journals, accruals & prepayments, variance analysis & reconciliations experience;
  • Working for a company based in Italy;
  • Accounts payable experience would be beneficial.

  • Accurate and strong attention to detail, with ability to quickly identify inconsistencies or errors;
  • Ability to takeownership and manage workload effectively & independently;
  • Ability to workin a fast-paced environment and deliver results;
  • Customer focused;
  • Highly motivated and ability to retain a positive attitude under pressure;
  • Microsoft Excelintermediate level, preferred;
  • Good verbal andwritten communication skills.
