Accounting Specialist

We are seeking an Accounting Specialist for our projects in Montepulciano, Italy, who meets the qualifications outlined below.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field
• Knowledge of Italian accounting legislation, OIC standards, and preferably IFRS
• Experience in tax processes and preparation of tax returns (VAT/IVA, corporate tax, etc.)
• Strong understanding of invoicing and accounting processes, including e-invoicing (SDI)
• Experience in banking transactions, current account management, and dealings with public authorities
• Solid knowledge of chart of accounts and general accounting practices
• Proficiency in ERP and accounting software
• Advanced MS Office skills (especially Excel)
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and result-oriented mindset
• Good command of English
• Experience in manufacturing or restaurant sectors is a plus

Job Description

• Execute accounting processes in compliance with Italian legislation, company procedures, and accounting standards
• Manage end-to-end invoicing processes and ensure all records are accurate, complete, and timely
• Review customer and supplier invoices and verify consistency with contracts and delivery documents
• Prepare tax declarations and coordinate with external tax advisors where required
• Prepare pre-tax financial statements and perform general accounting activities
• Support monthly and year-end closing processes and ensure proper documentation
• Handle banking transactions and monitor current accounts and reconciliations
• Manage supplier payments and track receivables to support healthy cash flow
• Monitor inventory, production, and cost accounting processes
• Prepare documentation required for financial reporting and audit processes
• Contribute to process improvement, digitalization, and ERP development initiatives
• Ensure compliance with company ethical rules and applicable regulations
