Employerland, on behalf of a luxury 5-star hotel in Cortina d'Ampezzo, is looking for an Accounting Specialist.


Job Description

Our Accounting Specialist is essential member of the Administration Department, responsible for supporting the accurate and timely management of financial transactions and records. Reporting to the Finance Director and General Manager, this role ensures that all accounting procedures comply with internal policies and statutory regulations, contributing to the financial integrity and smooth operation of the hotel.


Key Responsibilities

  • Process and record day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, invoices, expense reports, and bank statements.
  • Reconcile ledgers, resolve discrepancies, and ensure timely payments and collections.
  • Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual closings.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Maintain accurate and organized financial documentation and digital records.
  • Ensure compliance with Italian accounting standards, tax laws, and internal control procedures.
  • Collaborate with external consultants, auditors, and tax advisors when required.
  • Monitor and report on cash flow, outstanding balances, and vendor accounts.
  • Support the Finance Director and the General Manager in cost tracking, inventory accounting, and departmental budget follow-up.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of administrative and financial processes.


Qualifications

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field.
  • Proven experience (at least 2 years) in a similar accounting role, preferably in the hospitality or service industry.
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and Italian tax regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel); experience with accounting software (e.g., Zucchetti, Oracle, SAP, or similar) is an advantage.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Integrity, confidentiality, and a problem-solving mindset.
  • Fluency in Italian and English (spoken and written).
  • Legal right to work in Italy.
