Responsibilities
- You will be responsible for the assurance of high quality and timely execution of all financial activities, management of accounting, financial planning, fiscal procedures, treasury, tax and investment analyses, including compliance with relevant legal and internal control standards and financial policies of Linde.
- A continuous focus on improvement of processes and procedures is essential, such as also guaranteeing the execution of the accounting functional strategy.
- You will manage the relationships with the provider for shared services in finance & accounting, processes stabilisation, problem solving, emergency management for payments and other activities relating to the role and department.
- On a local basis you will be in charge of the management of retained accounting activities, relations with headquarters, internal control and check procedures, IAS/IFRS, monthly status for headquarters, local GAAP, stocks accounting, accruals, provisions and depreciations.
- You will be the referee for reporting: assurance of monthly and quarterly reporting and year‑end closing in line with local GAAP and auditing principles, IFRS and Group policies.
- Also fiscal matters, such as transfer pricing, income taxes and any kind of fiscal declarations, new laws monitoring, adaptations and applications will be part of your responsibilities.
- You will maintain banking relations at a local level.
- You will act in compliance with Group guidelines, accounting rules, tax laws and any other relevant rule and regulation in Finance & Administration.
- Furthermore, a particular commitment to and special care for safety and environmental sustainability.
- Another of your tasks will be the management of the internal control system, including the specific finance Group internal controls and controls deriving from compliance governance (KIC).
Qualifications
- You have a Master Degree in Economics, a previous experience of at least 1 year in the same function in a multinational industrial company and 3/4 years in a big audit company would benefit for completing the qualification.
- In those experiences you acquired competencies in business analysis of financial results, risk management, accounting and finance reporting.
- A deep understanding of financial, accounting and fiscal requirements in line with Italian laws is appreciated.
- You are able to use Navision and the MS Office package.
- You are also fluent in written and spoken English, as well as in Italian, the language of the contracting destination.
- Continuous improvement and ability to identify opportunities translating them into actions are your attributes.
- Project management skills, ability to deliver results, problem solving competencies and strong communication skills are needed.
