YOUR WORK ENVIRONMENT As Accounting Manager, and part of the Finance Department, you will oversee the accounting operations and statutory reporting of four legal entities, responsible for ensuring accurate financial records, timely month-end and year-end closings, compliance with tax and statutory requirements, and the preparation of annual financial statements.
You will have the opportunity to gain international experience and build up knowledge of the business processes on luxurious goods working in increasingly challenging environment and on engaging projects.
Job responsibilities Your impact
Manage the full accounting cycle for 4 companies/legal entities, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable accounting and tax regulations.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for each entity.
Coordinate and manage the year-end closing process and the preparation of statutory financial statements.
Ensure proper maintenance of the general ledger and oversee all journal entries, accruals, provisions, and reconciliations.
Monitor and manage tax obligations, ensuring timely and accurate filings in coordination with external advisors when required.
Act as the main point of contact for tax authorities, auditors, and external consultants.
Manage inventory accounting and ensure proper valuation and control procedures are in place.
Oversee e-commerce accounting and related reconciliations where applicable.
Ensure compliance with internal policies, local statutory requirements, and corporate procedures.
Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow monitoring activities.
Collaborate with internal departments to improve accounting processes and strengthen internal controls.
Manage expense report processes and related accounting controls through internal tools.
Profile KEYS FOR SUCCESS Education
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field.
Experience
Position requires minimum 10 years’ experience in the same role or in accounting field
Experience in luxury/fashion business is a plus
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, multi-dimensional environment
Ability to work autonomously with deadlines
Experience liaising with external auditors, tax advisors, and public authorities.
Proficiency in SAP/accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
Good communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
Languages Fluent in Italian and English, knowledge of French would be a plus.

For new joiners in this role in Italy, the initial annual gross salary is EUR €70.000,00.
This salary has been determined on the basis of objective and gender-neutral criteria and corresponds to the compensation normally granted for this position at the time of publication of this job posting. Actual compensation may vary depending on factors such as your unique combination of experience and skills, seniority, and current organizational needs.
This role also provides for participation in a bonus scheme, at CELINE’s discretion, based on factors such as individual and/or company performance.
In addition to the benefits provided by law, further benefits may be granted in accordance with current company policies.
The employment relationship will be governed by the provisions of the applicable national collective bargaining agreement (CCNL Pelli e Succedanei) [and the supplementary company agreement], as applied by CELINE in Italy.
