The part you'll play

Based at our Florence Headquarters, you will join the Administration & Accounting Department , playing a key role in ensuring the accuracy, compliance and integrity of lease accounting processes across our retail and corporate network.

Your mission will be to safeguard the correct financial management of lease-related transactions during the fixed-term contract covering a maternity leave , ensuring full alignment with internal controls, local regulations and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) . You will act as a reliable point of reference for lease accounting matters, contributing to the quality of financial reporting and supporting informed business decisions.


In particular, you will:

- Work closely with the Legal & HR teams to review and approve monthly rental payments for retail and corporate locations, including third-party calculations of percentage rent and excess rent.

- Ensure the correct accounting treatment of new leases and amendments to existing agreements, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.

- Take ownership of monthly and quarterly closing activities related to lease and retail accounting, including accruals, prepayments, journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.

- Reconcile and align lease accounting software with the SAP R/3 accounting system, guaranteeing data accuracy and consistency.

- Manage supplier invoice posting and filing, vendor ledger analysis, clearing of open items and monitoring of aged balances to ensure timely and accurate payments.

- Contribute to budgeting and forecasting processes in collaboration with the P&C team, providing variance analysis and meaningful financial insights.

- Support internal and external audit activities, ensuring compliance with corporate policies and control procedures, and participate in ad hoc projects aimed at process improvement and efficiency.


What you’ll bring

● Degree in Economics or a related discipline;

● A minimum of 2 years’ experience in Accounts Payable or Lease Accounting.

● Sound understanding of accounting principles, general ledger processes and VAT regulations.

● Good working knowledge of IFRS and lease accounting requirements.

● Proficiency in SAP ERP and good command of Microsoft Office (advanced Excel skills would be an advantage).

● Intermediate level of English.

● Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
