Accountant

For our head office in Rome, we are looking for an Accountant to join the Finance team.

Responsibilities

• Managing monthly accounting close activities (accruals, deferrals, cash pool entries, etc.)
• Managing and recording expense reports
• Monitoring costs arising from accounts payable invoice postings or new contracts, ensuring correct allocation by profit center or cost center
• Vendor reconciliations and reconciliation of temporary general ledger accounts
• Supporting Finance colleagues and Area Managers
• Following up on administrative certified email communications (PEC)
• Consulting the Italian Revenue Agency website
• Executing supplier payments and various tax payments

Requirements

• At least 2–3 years of experience in the role
• Proactivity, accuracy, and ability to meet deadlines
• Expertise in accounting by cost and profit centers
• Knowledge of tax-related matters such as withholding taxes, CU certifications, 770 tax forms, registration tax, VAT codes, tax regimes for payees, stamp duty, government concession taxes, TV license fees, and chamber of commerce fees
• Experience using ERP systems and internet banking platforms
• Good command of English
• Experience with accounting software
• Strong proficiency in Excel
