To strengthen our Finance organization and actively contribute to the Finance Service Network (FSN) , we are looking for a skilled and proactive Accountant who will support reliable financial reporting, compliance, and continuous process improvement across the business.

In this role, you will be involved in end-to-end accounting activities , including financial closings, general ledger and inventory accounting, tax compliance, intercompany reconciliation, and group reporting. Working closely with FSN colleagues, Group Finance, Controlling, and local stakeholders , you will support budgeting and treasury activities, contribute to inventory valuation and margin analysis, and play an active role in the transition to SAP S/4HANA , digitalization, and process standardization initiatives. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist with daily accounting tasks, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Prepare and record journal entries in the general ledger.
  • Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Assist in preparing financial reports, such as balance sheets and income statements.
  • Verify and process invoices, expense reports, and purchase orders.
  • Maintain accurate and organized financial records and documentation.
  • Monitor and update accounting spreadsheets and databases.
  • Support audits by providing required documentation and responding to queries.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and accounting standards.
  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve accounting discrepancies.
  • Help with tax preparation and filing activities as needed.
  • Ensure accurate general ledger accounting, accruals, and provisions
  • Adhere to Group policies and FSN standards, while handling legally required local deviations in a controlled manner

Inventory Valuation & Merchandise Accounting

  • Ensure correct valuation of inventories in accordance with accounting standards
  • Apply and monitor inventory valuation methods (moving average price and standard cost)
  • Reconcile inventory, GR/IR, and price difference accounts
  • Analyze inventory and margin deviations in cooperation with Controlling
  • Participate in FSN-driven knowledge transfer and best-practice sharing for inventory and cost accounting

Tax & Compliance

  • Manage tax compliance activities in coordination with the Local Finance Lead, including VAT and corporate tax
  • Ensure adherence to local and international accounting regulations
  • Coordinate internal and external audits
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and FSN governance principles

Intercompany & Group Reporting

  • Perform intercompany reconciliations
  • Ensure accurate and timely group reporting in coordination with FSN and Group Finance
  • Collaborate with Finance Group and external advisors on complex accounting topics
  • Support FSN efforts to harmonize end-to-end processes and financial information across countries

SAP S/4HANA & Process Optimization

  • Optimize accounting processes using SAP S/4HANA soon (until 2026 Microsoft-NAVISION)
  • Support digitalization and automation initiatives within the finance department
  • Participate in system upgrades, testing, and SAP module implementations
  • Contribute to FSN goals of standardization, process simplification, and digital workflow adoption

Budget Support

  • Conduct budget variance and margin analyses and provide insights to management
  • Participate in the annual budgeting process, including: Profit & Loss planning; Balance sheet planning; Cost center and HR budgets; Support of treasury activities, including cash flow forecasting; Monitoring of accounts receivable, credit limits, and overdue balances

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field or Certified Accountant
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional accounting experience , preferably in an international environment
  • Experience in SAP S/4HANA and MS Office skills
  • Solid knowledge of accounting standards and tax regulations
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
