We have an exciting opportunity for an Account Executive Italy – Wholesale Sales (Maternity Cover) based in our Milan office .


Department overview:

The Wholesale Division is a fast-paced organization constantly partnering with Department Stores, Independent Stores and online players to maximize sales across different regions


Who You Are:

You are energetic, reliable, self-motivated and have strong communication and analytical skills. You thrive in a rapidly changing environment, are fashion-curious and capable of multi-tasking and prioritizing in a demanding environment.


What You’ll Do:

You will support the Senior account executive and the team to meet and exceed wholesale territory plans, implement sales driving strategies, and develop strong relationships with wholesale partners by training on brand standards to achieve sales results and ensure consistency across all doors.


You will be responsible for and manage part of the IT business counting overall 13ML across the Italian region with the support of the rest of the team members


Sales

  • Aim to build the brand profile and increase volume, distribution and profit in line with the company’s strategy (philosophy)
  • Manage the business in line with the strategy for region based on global goals
  • Achieving budgets (bookings) for the region
  • Working with planning, store buying teams and Retail development to ensure Retail sales plans are achieved each week.
  • Maintain forecasts file always updated. To be reviewed with Senior Account executive
  • In season trading: working with planning team to maximise opportunities
  • Seasonal market and sales campaign preparations
  • Use all information available within the company to drive efficiency and results
  • Weekly business updates to the Senior AE
  • Store visits to existing accounts. Where relevant combine with research visits to new accounts/ locations
  • Working with CS and Finance: checking weekly shipping and finance reports: Raising issues to stores
  • Ensure shipping of product is on time and cleared before the end of each season working in conjunction with CS, Finance and Logistics.
  • Align with Retail Development for business needs
  • Focus on maximizing sales through correct seasonal buys. Using seasonal repeats only where necessary due to over performance
  • Review current selling style by style and react accordingly: both in season and to ensure correct assortments for future seasons
  • Review best/slow sellers in order to part-take in monthly merchandising/sales departmental conference calls.
  • New business opportunities


Communication and Conduct

  • Always act as an ambassador for the company and in the interest of the business
  • Develop strong partnerships and maintain excellent interpersonal skills with all stores buying teams as well as internal teams: Planning, customer services, VM, Marketing…
  • Collaborate closely with other team members in Milan and other counties

Planning

  • Monthly and seasonal meetings with retailers to ensure the synchronisation of business plans: sales targets/ budgets/ seasonal vs B99 mix etc


Market Knowledge

  • Maintain knowledge and understanding of competitors and their strategies
  • Awareness of trends in the marketplace
  • Ensure feedback is received and shared regarding competitors (working with Merchandising team)


Order Management

  • Raising of orders on TB system and sending downloads to CS, overview the business using Qlik
  • Proactive checking to ensure booking report matches orders raised prior to market deadline
  • Notifying customers of cancellations. Suggesting replacement items where applicable (maintain budget)


Customer Liaison

  • Ensure all customers are aware of when to contact customer services (Pos/ PO queries/ deliveries)
  • Booking of showroom appointments and updating diary.
  • Maintaining seasonal account lists: buyer contact information etc
  • Managing customer account queries; forwarding and resolving queries with CS/Finance
  • Update customers with latest Press and any relevant information
  • Support the showroom coordinator to organize samples and presentations


You’ll Need to Have:

  • Wholesale experience in a premium/luxury environment from at least 5 years and speak English fluently
  • Capability to partner with internal colleagues to address business challenges and understands the need to work well with others to beat the competition.
  • Capability to adapt to different communication style, tools and approach to meet the needs of different audiences and levels in the organization
  • Ability to drive results, lead self and others in setting and attaining stretch goals within a continually evolving environment. Overcomes obstacles and takes responsibility for outcomes.
  • Entrepreneurial skills, capability to make things happen for the business using out-of-the box thinking and a willingness to take risks
  • Continually looking for ways to innovate or take existing products, processes and services to a new level
