Account Executive – Central Government

We're looking for a driven and strategic Named Account Executive to join our Public Sector Central sales team. In this role, you'll own a defined portfolio of central government and public sector accounts, building deep relationships and driving digital transformation initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Own the full sales cycle — from prospecting and pipeline development to negotiation and close — for a named set of central government accounts
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, procurement leads, and agency decision-makers
- Develop and execute account plans aligned to each agency's mission and strategic priorities
- Partner with Solution Engineers, Customer Success, and Professional Services to deliver compelling proposals and demos
- Navigate complex procurement processes, including RFPs, RFIs, and government contract vehicles (e.g., MEPA, SDAPA, Consip Frameworks, etc.)
- Accurately forecast pipeline and revenue in CRM on a weekly basis
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, alliances, and channel partners to grow your territory
- Stay current on public sector trends, policy changes, and agency priorities to position solutions effectively
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of B2B enterprise software or SaaS sales experience, with at least 2 years selling into government or public sector accounts
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding quota in complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles
- Experience navigating government procurement processes and contract vehicles
- Strong executive presence with excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to build a business case and articulate ROI to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Self-starter with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple accounts simultaneously
- Familiarity with CRM tools (Salesforce experience is a plus!)
Nice to Have
- Existing relationships within federal, state, or local government agencies
- Experience selling cloud, AI, or data/analytics solutions
- Knowledge of compliance frameworks relevant to the public sector (FedRAMP, FISMA, CMMC, etc.)
