Overview
In this role you shape and grow Arduino's third-party hardware ecosystem by partnering with manufacturers, OEMs/ODMs, and ecosystem contributors. You will define a roadmap, evaluate partner capabilities, and drive cross‑functional collaboration to deliver high‑quality, compatible products. You’ll travel to key hubs to nurture relationships and enable ecosystem solutions at scale. This outward‑facing position offers the chance to influence the open‑hardware landscape and work with international teams across China, Europe, and Asia.
Responsibilities
- Define and execute the roadmap for Arduino's third‑party hardware ecosystem, including accessories, modules, kits, and compatible products
- Identify gaps and high‑impact areas where partners can extend Arduino's hardware portfolio
- Develop frameworks and processes for quality, consistency, and great user experiences in 3rd‑party products
- Build and maintain relationships with manufacturers, OEMs/ODMs, and solution partners globally
- Evaluate partner capabilities, product proposals, and technical readiness during in‑person visits
- Guide product definition, quality standards, compatibility requirements, and certification with partners
- Provide documentation, tooling, guidance, and support to partners for successful ecosystem development
- Collaborate with Arduino hardware, firmware, and software teams to ensure product integration
- Partner with marketing and community teams to promote new ecosystem additions and success stories
- Support onboarding, testing, and ongoing partner performance with operations and quality teams
- Track ecosystem product performance and identify opportunities to expand or sunset components
- Develop scalable processes to grow the ecosystem as Arduino's global footprint expands
Requirements
- 4+ years of Product Management or related experience
- Strong understanding of hardware development, manufacturing workflows, and product quality processes
- Experience working with international partners
- Ability to travel up to 50% for partner meetings and factory visits
- Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills with multicultural, cross‑functional audiences
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands‑on execution and follow‑through
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- Fluency in English; proficiency in Italian and Chinese is a strong plus
