3D Machine Learning Engineer (Computer Vision / Rendering / Generative 3D)
South Tyrol, Italy (Hybrid/4+ days onsite weekly)
European Tech Recruit are working with an innovative, fast-growing AI company building cutting-edge solutions at the intersection of 3D computer vision, machine learning, and rendering technologies to find a 3D Machine Learning Engineer .
Our client is developing advanced 3D systems that span the entire pipeline from data capture and geometric reconstruction through to neural rendering and generative material synthesis . Their technology is already being applied in real-world environments with global customers, solving complex challenges in 3D digitisation and visual computing.
Their team consists of highly specialised researchers and engineers , working in a collaborative, low-hierarchy environment where technical depth and innovation are at the core.
As a 3D Machine Learning Engineer , you will join the core team working across multiple domains. This is a flexible, high-impact role designed for individuals who are deeply skilled in at least one area (vision, rendering, or ML) and eager to expand across the full 3D stack.
Rather than a rigid scope, your focus will align with your strengths while contributing to a broader system that bridges research and real-world deployment .
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop advanced 3D machine learning and vision systems across the full pipeline
- Build and optimize geometric reconstruction pipelines (e.g., multi-view systems, SfM, mesh processing)
- Develop learning-based inverse rendering methods for recovering geometry and materials from images
- Contribute to neural rendering and generative 3D systems , including diffusion-based approaches
- Design and implement material models and physically-based representations (BRDFs)
- Integrate classical computer vision techniques with modern ML approaches into production-ready systems
- Prototype rapidly while maintaining clean, scalable, and production-quality code
- Collaborate closely with researchers and engineers to bring research ideas into deployed systems
Required Experience & Skills
- Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Vision, Computer Graphics, Robotics , or a related field
- Master's and minimum 2+ years in industry is required, or a recently completed PhD with some hands-on experience.
- At least one of the following: 3D computer vision and reconstruction, Rendering / inverse rendering, Machine learning for 3D or generative models
- Strong understanding of at least one core area: Multi-view geometry and reconstruction, Physically-based rendering, Generative models applied to 3D (e.g., diffusion, latent representations)
- Strong programming skills in Python and/or C++
Why Apply?
- Work across the entire 3D AI stack , from geometry to generative models
- Join a research-driven team with real production impact
- Collaborate with highly technical experts in a low-hierarchy environment
- Opportunity to attend leading conferences such as SIGGRAPH and CVPR
- Competitive compensation, flexibility, and strong growth potential
Recruiter's Note
We are looking for engineers who have built and deeply understood 3D systems, not just used off-the-shelf tools. If you’ve worked on core geometry, rendering, or generative 3D problems and enjoy solving technically challenging problems across domains, this is an exceptional opportunity.
By applying to this role you understand that we may collect your personal data and store and process it on our systems. For more information please see our Privacy Notice
