Overview

NOC (Network Operations Center) is the central command and control center for Transportation Execution across the Amazon Supply Chain network, supporting multiple geographies such as NA, India and EU. It ensures timely pick-up and delivery of freight from vendors to Amazon fulfillment centers (FC) and from FCs to carrier hubs. When exceptions occur, NOC resolves issues and informs all stakeholders. NOC also analyzes trends in network exceptions to automate processes or propose changes to streamline operations, involving network monitoring and significant data analysis. NOC aims to sustain the smooth functioning of Amazon transportation and its ability to serve customers on time. Within NOC, AMZL CO (Amazon Logistics Central Operations) focuses on driving quality at lower cost through standard work and centralized management of the network. Central Operations (CO) supports daily planning and execution affecting Delivery Station (DS) operations across AMZL and EDSP/XPT networks. CO aims to standardize processes, implement programmatic interventions and automations to improve planning, scheduling and routing, reduce costs and free up time for station operators. CO covers functional areas with global parity: Central Allocation, Centralized Routing and Scheduling (CRS), CO Systems Management (COSM), Driver Support (CO DS), and channel support for DSP, Flex and Hub DP including account and payment management. The MARCOPOLO program (global standardization and knowledge sharing) guides this evolution, with a vision to build a global Center of Excellence by delivering Last Mile Central Operations services to NA, EU and RoW marketplaces over the next three years.
