TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST

Position Description

You will serve as a Traffic Management Specialist in the Supply Management Department of NAVSUP FLT LOGISTICS CNTR SIGONELLA. The Secretary of Defense has ordered a department-wide hiring freeze subject to certain limited exceptions. This position is subject to the DoD hiring freeze. Offers of employment related to this vacancy announcement will not be executed until the position has an approved exemption.

Position Duties / Responsibilities

• You will assist in policy / procedures formulation, quality assurance, certifications, reporting, and operational analysis review.
• You will examine and compare entry forms, invoices, entry permits, bills of lading, manifests and accompanying papers to ensure that all required documents are present and correct.
• You will review and interpret policy guidance on use of Customs Declaration forms.
• You will analyze all methods of cargo characteristics, determines special handling requirements, required priority, and required delivery dates.
• You will work with senior traffic management specialist to develop, coordinate, evaluate operations and ensure implementation and compliance with guidelines and procedures related to the movement of hazardous material.
