Test Manager.



The Test Manager will play a key role in ensuring the success of complex engineering projects, being responsible for the verification and validation of products throughout their entire life cycle -from preliminary virtual testing to final on-site validation.


The role involves managing, defining, supervising and executing all testing activities, with a focus on software, control logic and system performance validation.


Main Responsibilities


  • Translate customer requirements into detailed testing strategies and procedures within the client’s proprietary frameworks.
  • Design and plan verification and validation processes for highly customized baggage and parcel handling systems, ensuring alignment with both client expectations and internal quality standards.
  • Develop and supervise virtual as well as on-site testing activities, applying internal commissioning and validation methodologies.
  • Coordinate the efforts of engineering, software development and operations teams to ensure seamless system integration and performance compliance.
  • Execute system-level verification and compliance testing using proprietary diagnostic protocols and emulation tools (e.g. Virtual Internal Verification).
  • Monitor system performance metrics to confirm operational readiness and compliance with benchmarks.
  • Lead customer acceptance testing, demonstrating system functionality and resolving technical issues using company-specific troubleshooting methods.
  • Provide technical and procedural support during commissioning phases, ensuring a smooth transition from testing to live operation.
  • Prepare detailed technical reports and documentation (Test Plans, Test Procedures, Defect Reports) according to the client’s internal reporting methodologies.
  • Recommend process improvements based on lessons learned and performance evaluations, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.


PROFILE


  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electronic, or Automation) or related technical field
  • Fluent in Italian and English
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Team leadership and coordination abilities
  • Negotiation and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in cross-functional teams
  • Strong sense of responsibility and commitment
  • Adaptability to evolving technologies and dynamic environments


TECHNICAL SKILLS


  • Test design, execution and lifecycle management
  • Strategy design and implementation
  • Data analysis and interpretation
  • Root cause analysis
  • Resource coordination and workload management
  • Knowledge of emulation tools (e.g. Emulate 3D), high-level interface tools (e.g. SCADA, SAC), and test lifecycle management tools (e.g. Polarion or PTC) is considered a plus
