AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we’re the people who build the facilities that create the cloud. You’ll work with a diverse team of engineers, architects, construction managers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, to ensure successful delivery. You’ll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. Responsibilities

  • Support projects growing AWS Data Centre infrastructure as part of the AWS Infrastructure Capacity Delivery team.
  • Lead cross-functional and technical teams to deliver new Data Centres, covering strategy, design, budget, implementation, testing and deployment, including dependencies needed for delivery.
  • Interact with customers, partners and suppliers to understand business goals and priorities, and execute rapidly to deliver high-quality results.
  • Manage remote project delivery teams, facilitate technical sessions to troubleshoot issues, and remove barriers to project success.
  • Build cross-functional matrix-based teams, establish trust with stakeholders across multiple time zones, manage capital budgets, eliminate unnecessary activity, design solutions, remove blockers, and find creative ways to accelerate project delivery.
  • Apply project management tools, methodologies and techniques across all project lifecycle phases, covering scope, schedule, budget, resources, quality, risk management, reporting and metrics.
  • Experience with MS Office, MS Project and MS SharePoint.

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of technical infrastructure management experience
  • Knowledge of best practices and emerging technologies related to infrastructure (i.e. network, data center, hardware, software)
  • Ability to deal with ambiguous and complex problems and collaborate with partner teams to develop innovative solutions

Preferred Qualifications

  • Able to deep dive and define infrastructure requirements
