Your day to day
As a Sr Engineer - Data Quality, you will support creating solutions and processes in Quality Operations (QOps), focusing on Quality Assurance (QA), Data Quality, Data Integrity, and Manufacturing Automation. You will define quality requirements for digital solutions at quality operations systems, propose improvements for manufacturing automation, aiming compliance and prevention of critical and major non‑conformances in products and processes.
You will ensure Data Quality, Data Integrity, and Traceability requirements are met by identifying risks and developing mitigation plans. This includes reviewing current processes, proposing improvements, and following up on mitigations and actions to maintain QOps business needs.
Responsibilities
- Lead complex and/or strategic QA projects from start to finish, adhering to quality standards and regularly communicating with stakeholders to review project scope, provide updates, coordinate resources and deliverables, to ensure successful completion of projects/programs.
- Oversee technical and analytical activities, act as the main contact for quality topics and risk assessments for assigned topics and projects, and maintain relationships with external suppliers, factories, and stakeholders.
- Understand customer brief and business needs, participate in defining requirements and proposing solutions, and implement the agreed changes to reach the project objectives. Serve as trusted advisor for senior management on related QA issues.
- Ensure that activities and projects fully meet PMI requirements and regulatory standards, with focus on compliance.
- Ensure Always Inspection Redness (AIR) and Quality compliance through analytical & critical risks identification for QOPS systems and respective flows, propose mitigations to respective Digital Owner and follow completions.
- Lead activities in QA that require coordination with other functions and factories. Apply QA Standards, project management, change management and usability practices based on known solutions, applications and procedures assuring adherence to standards.
- Develop and deploy tools, systems, process, communication platforms which increase quality, efficiency, speed, compliance, reduce quality losses and support educated quality culture, as do-it-right mindset, proof of fail process/equipment/systems and decision‑making process for effective execution.
- Support multicultural and cross‑functional teams, as well as internal and external resources for the activities of each activity.
- Train, direct, coach and motivate, to share the experience and develop the local and central quality knowledge.
- Communicate regularly with the team members, and ensure proper information is shared timely and risks are mitigated.
- Follow up all system projects deployment which impacts QOPS to guarantee quality requirements will be properly established, been compliance.
- Ensure Data Quality, QOPS "Systems" solutions proposed, and Manufacturing Automation activities properly implemented.
- Contribute to business by identifying potential risks, performing benefit‑risk analysis, budget and resource requirements to advise and enable management to make decisions that meet long‑term quality assurance strategies.
- Contribute to resolution of quality related topics by analyzing, identifying and proposing solutions to achieve the objectives, providing status reports and other information to project team members and Leadership on a regular basis.
- Lead QOPS Digital Solutions like Data Manufacturing Flow and Systems by product category. Evaluate current situations and possible scenarios considering product platforms and expansions, identifying inconsistencies, risks and proposing solutions.
- Lead the Data Migration & Digital Foundation assessment at QOPS with risks identified.
- Resolve complex quality activities and project‑related issues by analyzing, identifying and facilitating recommendations to achieve optimal solutions.
- Communicate and develop networking with different teams, management and partners (customers, suppliers) to facilitate efficiency and sustainable execution.
- Ensure the topics and projects which participate and/or lead have the information supplied to management in realistic and timely manner, with respect to criticality to avoid Business disruption.
- Provide accurate and properly scoped data to the successful completion of the tasks.
- Carry out all the activities ensuring that PMI Compliance Policies, standards, and laws relating to these activities are fully respected, integrated and understood, and implement adequate processes to ensure confidentiality of information.
Qualifications
- Degree in Engineering or Science or Industry‑related field or equivalent experience; MBA is a plus.
- Minimum 6 years of Quality, Manufacturing or Engineering Experience or equivalent in a multinational environment.
- Sound knowledge in ISO 9001, Quality Management System (QMS) & QA Management and methodologies.
- Demonstrated Risk management and mitigation skills combined with organizational savviness.
- Product regulation and compliance (FDA, Safety) understanding.
- Consumer orientation, innovative / strategic mindset and agility.
- Good IT skills.
- Fluency in both written and spoken English is required.
