Software Dev Engineer - Android/Linux, Device OS Connectivity SW

We are looking for passionate, hard‑working, and talented software engineers with experience building innovative, mission‑critical, high‑volume applications by integrating Bluetooth protocol stack software and other components on the Android and/or embedded platforms. The Amazon Connectivity team designs connectivity software solutions for Amazon devices encompassing a wide range of products including Fire TV, Echo Show, Echo Dot, Smart Home solutions, and much more.

A day in the life

As an integral member of this high visibility team, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on customer experience by leading the design, architecture, and implementation of products used every day by people you know. You will work in a fast‑paced, agile environment that brings new connectivity experiences to a range of devices in a startup‑like setting.

About the team

Our team creates products that keep users connected to the things they love and need. Collaboration, thinking outside the box, innovation, and long‑term thinking are at the core of how we operate. You will learn and teach others how to think outside the box, stretching what is possible by writing solid code and designing solutions that are extensible, maintainable, and scalable.

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of non‑internship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of non‑internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
  • 3+ years of Video Games Industry (supporting title Development, Release, or Live Ops) experience
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
