Our client, a globally recognized leader in food processing solutions, is seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in food machinery manufacturing to manage complete projects for capital equipment production lines. This role requires hands-on experience managing full project lifecycles, from concept to completion, with a particular focus on food production machinery. You will report directly to the Project Director and oversee the execution of large-scale projects across various stages.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage project plans, defining scope, deliverables, and timelines
- Ensure seamless coordination between engineering, production, and client teams
- Monitor project progress, proactively identifying and mitigating risks
- Oversee installation and commissioning at customer sites
- Serve as the primary contact for customers, ensuring strong relationship management
- Facilitate key project meetings, including kick-off, status updates, site surveys, and close-out
- Manage project budgets and drive cost-saving initiatives
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks
- Implement continuous improvement strategies and best practices
Profile
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (minimum), with formal Project Management training
- At least 5 years of experience managing complete projects within the food machinery manufacturing sector, including full production lines and capital equipment.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (PMP, PRINCE2, Agile preferred)
- Proven ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
Skills & Knowledge
- Expertise in project planning, scheduling, and execution
- Strong budgeting, cost control, and financial oversight skills
- Excellent risk management and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to drive collaboration across internal and external stakeholders
Languages
- Fluent in English
- Proficiency in French or Dutch is an advantage
This is an on-site position based in Sint Niklaas, Flemish Region, Belgium.
