Overview

ITALY FRAGRANCE PRODUCT MANAGER.
At Shiseido Italy, the Fragrance division manages a diverse portfolio of perfumery brands such as Narciso Rodriguez, Issey Miyake, Zadig & Voltaire, and Serge Lutens, ensuring the successful launch and lifecycle management of perfumery products across Italian markets.

Our mission is to deliver high-quality, consumer‑relevant products through operational excellence, close collaboration with cross‑functional teams, and a strong focus on market needs and performance.

Role

The Fragrance Product Manager is responsible for the operational strategy, roadmap and definition of a product line, or a specific brand. He/she must act as the brand entrepreneur, federating all stakeholders around the brand’s objectives. The role requires close collaboration with cross‑functional teams, suppliers linked to retail, event planners, customers, and International Marketing to ensure products meet market needs and align with company and group goals.

Main Responsibilities

  • Product Operational Strategy and Vision:
    • Locally develop and communicate a clear product vision and strategy, according to the marketing plan.
    • Conduct market research to identify customer needs and market trends.
    • Monitor the A&P mix and adjust if necessary (at budget meetings) while respecting guidelines, local needs, and sell‑out targets.
  • Product Development:
    • Collaborate with marketing and sales functions to implement product launches and consolidations, and develop necessary actions to meet business targets.
    • Forecast launches and animations in cooperation with the commercial team and forecast all POSM materials in line with the marketing plan.
    • Provide qualitative feedback pre‑ and post‑launch.
  • Go‑to‑Market Planning:
    • Work with marketing and sales teams to develop go‑to‑market strategies.
    • Ensure successful product launches and monitor product performance.
    • Monitor and update stock/quotas of promos, testers, and POSM to avoid or reduce risk of FNC each year.
  • Stakeholder Management:
    • Liaise with stakeholders to gather requirements and feedback.
    • Communicate product updates and changes to relevant parties during periodic affiliate meetings.
    • Organize marketing presentations and documents for sales force meetings.
  • Performance Analysis:
    • Analyze product performance metrics and consumer feedback.
    • Make data‑driven decisions to improve and maximize brand performance.
    • Monitor sell‑out sales performance (weekly and monthly).

Skills and Competencies

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in product management or a similar role.
  • Excellent communication abilities.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies is a plus.
  • Strategic thinking and planning.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of the Office package and advanced Excel usage.
  • Advanced English (for EMEA/BH contacts) highly required.
  • Digital attitude.
  • Strong data analysis skills: sell‑in, sell‑out, ROI.
