Are you ready to play a key role in shaping the future of logistics for one of the world’s most innovative e-commerce platforms? At Alibaba Group, we're looking for an experienced Logistics Manager to build and optimize our logistics network in the Italian market, driving operational excellence and cost-effective solutions.

Why This Role is Exciting:

As a Logistics Manager, you will be responsible for building and expanding Alibaba's logistics network in Italy from scratch. You will develop long-term partnerships with logistics providers, ensuring that operational performance, service levels, and cost efficiency meet the high standards required by our platform. Your role will be crucial in supporting the growth of the e-commerce ecosystem in Italy, enhancing the customer experience, and improving overall service quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build local outsourced logistics network in Italian market from scratch.
• Build logistics partners relationship for long term partnership to support business needs i.e service level improvement, cost optimization, customer experience, etc.
• Lead recurrent business review meetings with key transportation 3PLs to continuously make improvement in operational setup.
• Monitor and manage the performance of main operational KPIs of logistics partners through dashboards and reports, and propose improvement ideas based on data analysis.
• Support the onboarding of new logistics partners in the platform from an operational point of view (cut off times, capacities, SLAs, etc)
• Work with different internal & external stakeholders in diverse projects to improve continuously service levels & bring efficiency into operations.
• Coordinate S&OP with internal stakeholders to ensure logistics can support efficiently the platform sales in line with market competitiveness.
• Problem solving mindset to anticipate operational issue and proactively improve logistics service level.

Requirements:

• Over 5 years of work experience in the logistics industry.
• Experience in e-commerce logistics preferrably.
• Fluent in Italian and English.
• Strong relationships with logistics partners, especially in fulfillment and warehousing.
• Experience with data analysis and an analytical mindset.
• Knowledge of continuous improvement and lean methodologies is a plus.
• Attention to detail and strong communication skills.
• Ability to work autonomously with limited guidance.
• Familiarity with 3PL system integration (WMS, OMS, TMS) is a plus.
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment, energetic and adaptive to change.
• Strong negotiation skills are a plus.
• Willingness to travel (locally) to the warehouse workplace, either part-time or full-time.
