We have an opportunity for a Lead Engineer to join us at Honeywell in Cologno Monzese. In this role, you will work closely with the Project Manager, managing complex Automation projects with Control and Safety Systems. You will lead internal resources, build the project team, and supervise project activities throughout the project life. Availability to meet customers, end users, or suppliers abroad and to support site activities is required.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the main technical interface with clients and suppliers, building and maintaining long‑term relationships.
  • Build and manage the project team, coordinating local and remote resources.
  • Design and issue project documents, procure Honeywell material and third‑party goods and services, test supplied hardware and configuration, and ship all goods with relevant certificates and final documentation.
  • Expedite activities, ensure deliveries and quality, support site activities, and find the right resources.
  • Leverage knowledge of Honeywell hardware solutions (Experion, C300 and Safety Manager minimum) and typical third‑party items; use Honeywell tools and follow Honeywell Standard Operating Procedures.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electronics/Automation Engineering and a solid technical background.
  • At least 5 years of experience as a Lead Engineer in Automation projects.
  • Proven track record executing Automation projects for Oil & Gas or other markets such as Pharma.
  • Experience working with major EPC companies (Saipem, Tecnimont, Technip, etc.) and O&G end users.
  • Strong communication and listening skills in both Italian and English.
  • Willingness to travel flexibly.
