Job Description

Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT & CONTROL FUNCTIONAL DESIGN ENGINEER who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic. The position is based in Turin (Italy).

Responsibilities

• Deliver the HW and Firmware configuration of COTS needed for Automation project in accordance with industry and company standards
• Design the technical solution for the automation platform
• Configure different types of device server storage network and client
• RDBMS installation and management
• Production of technical documentation
• On site installation
• Problem solving capabilities

Required Skills / Knowledge

• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science Telecommunication Engineering or equivalent technical background
• Knowledge in design and implementation of virtualized architectures (HW Hypervisor and SW architecture)
• Knowledge of Operating Systems Linux based
• Knowledge of networking TCP / IP stack routing VLANs
• Knowledge of principal RDBMS (e.g. Oracle)
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and User Graphic tools
• Knowledge and / or experience with Railways and Metro Automation
• Knowledge shell scripting
• Knowledge docker platform
• Good English proficiency
