HW Design Engineer

Key Tasks

• Design of electronic boards and systems based on FPGA architecture
• Analysis and Design review by using analog and digital simulators
• Design and development of VHDL code 
• Preparation and execution of validation tests in the different project phases (laboratory test on breadboard (if any), at board level and system level following the integration)
• Interaction with the project team and preparation of inputs in particular for the PCB (Printed Circuit Board) and SW designers
• Preparation of technical project documentation

Key Skills

• Experience in the design and development of electronic boards based on FPGA and Microprocessors
• Experience in the design and development of VHDL code for XILINX and Microsemi FPGAs
• Knowledge of Electronic & PCB Design tools, such as Mentor Graphics PADS, Cadence Allegro, Altium
• Knowledge of instrumentation for laboratory testing Problem solving skills
• Candidates must be able to work with other engineers in project teams and under pressure (tight schedules, fixed date deliveries)
• Knowledge on design methodologies for space applications (design documentation, design analysis, etc.) and ECSS standards is a plus

Qualification

• Master’s Degree in Electronic Engineering - a PhD is a plus
• Good knowledge of the English language
