Hardware Engineer – Maritime Sector

About the role

We are looking for a Hardware Engineer to join highly complex technological projects within the maritime sector, focusing on electrical and electronic systems onboard luxury yachts and naval vessels.

In this role, you will play a key part in the development, installation, and optimisation of critical systems that ensure the safe and efficient operation of modern vessels.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in the design and development of maritime electrical and mechanical systems
• Supervise and support the installation of onboard systems
• Test, commission, and optimise systems in collaboration with the technical team
• Ensure all systems operate according to design specifications and continuous improvement standards
• Collaborate closely with engineering teams, technicians, and project management

What we offer

• Salary between €3,800 and €4,500 gross per month (full-time), plus overtime allowances
• 25 vacation days + 13 additional ADV (reduction of working hours) days

Candidate profile

• Higher education degree (HBO level) in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field
• Relevant experience with electrical systems onboard ships or maritime vessels
• Practical, hands‑on mindset with strong problem‑solving skills
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team
• Motivation to work in dynamic and technically challenging project environments
