Area Manager International Marketing - Greater China & Asia Pacific Area
IED Istituto Europeo di Design is an international network operating in the fields of training and research in the disciplines of Design, Fashion, Visual Arts, Communication and Management of the creative industries. IED is a laboratory capable of offering young creatives a "Learning by doing" attitude that accompanies them throughout their life. IED is much more than a school: it is a centre in which new generation professionalism takes shape.
Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer the Area Manager Greater China & Asia Pacific ensures the development of the region and the roll out of all activities aimed at maximizing students recruitment for all IED programs in the assigned territories.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and expand the recruitment agencies network; provide guidelines and problem-solving support.
- Consolidate and develop and expand the network of Partners (recruitment agencies, public/private institutions, universities, schools, opinion leaders).
- Support brand image and reputation; suggest innovations for the academic portfolio.
- Maintain relations with consulates and official institutions.
- Develop and roll out the operational activities plan for the region (fairs, events, visitation plans, online activities).
- Prepare the cost budget in coordination with the Line Manager.
- Prepare business reports.
- Identify promotional opportunities and communication channels (events, fairs, press).
- Monitor the region (sector trends, competitor analysis, new opportunities).
- Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical code, and procedures.
Requirements:
- Degree in Economics, Marketing, Business Management, or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in International Sales in an international environment, ideally in the Higher Education or other high value added service sector.
- Proven ability to successfully engage with a sales network.
- Market and customer-oriented, strong sales and relationship skills, target-oriented, excellent planning and organizational skills.
- Proactive and flexible; able to work under deadlines.
- Relevant international experience (living/working/studying abroad) is an advantage.
- Available to travel within the assigned region.
- Full professional knowledge of English and Chinese (C1 at least); knowledge of Italian language is a plus.
